Riya Brahma is an Indian film producer, actress and the owner of RB Films Production, which specialises in acquiring and advertising popular regional video albums and films in Bodo. She is one of the highest paid film producers in Bodo film industry from Bodoland Territorial Region.
She was born on 8th of July at the village of Serfanguri under Kokrajhar district. She completed her graduation from Janata College, Serfanguri.
She produced Bodo films and owned RB Productions. Her films are Hathorki Pagla (2016), Fwrmaiso Haywi Gwsw (2017), Onnai (2018) and her final film Gwthar was released in 2019.
She as an actor makes debut in Bodo Film Industry with romantic and coming of age film Hathorki Pagla directed by Chiraj Baglary with Geolang Brahma, Somaina Basumatary. The film is based on the life of a young boy, he passed his 12th standard from his village, then he come to bigger town to persue his higher studies and to being a success in life. But, instead of success , he get carried out by his faulty friends thus turns out to be an alcoholic, later he ends his life in a hospital at his young age leaving his dearest elder sister alone and his long relationship girlfriend. The film Hathorki Pagla leaves the message to the present and coming of age youngsters the outcome of alcohol and drugs being addicted.
Then she produced romantic and action film Fwrmaiso Haywi Gwsw with director Ganesh Boro followed by romantic tragedy film Onnai directed by Raja Narzary and recently her action film Gwthar with Raja Narzary was released on 15th September 2019. The film is about an Innocent boy who turns into a rebel when his life, love, and family become a victim of a conspiracy. The film was awarded as Best Film Award in 2019 by Bodo Cine Artists Association.
